Bridals

It was thirteen days before our wedding and it couldn't have been a prettier day to take photos in Salt Lake City. The sun made one of its first spring appearances, and the angle of the morning light was idyllic. The fragrant Casa Blanca lilies in my bouquet made the whole experience dream-like. After what seemed like endless, dreary days of sickness, the sunshine and fresh air revived my soul. I later found out that I had mono, and am grateful I felt so good on this day. I give credit to the sunshine, my sweet husband's care, and a merciful Father.

Taking pictures on Temple Square made me feel like a celebrity. We were especially admired by youth groups and tourists. One friendly couple from somewhere back east even asked if they could get their picture taken with us. I felt a little bit like Mickey Mouse at Disneyland, but I enjoyed it.

The entire day was a dream. After taking photos, we changed and ate lunch at the Lion House. While we were there, we ran into my freshman roommate Andrea who I hadn't seen in years. It was so good to catch up with her and hear that she is also engaged! After lunch Mark and I walked around downtown Salt Lake enjoying the sunshine, and then we did an endowment session in the Salt Lake temple. What an incredible experience to be together in such a historic and sacred place just two weeks before we would be sealed there.
